New Truck! Meet Phantom!

For most of the boys lives we have been rocking a small suv of some sort. We had a Jeep Patriot, a suburban briefly, and most recently a Jeep Compass. We loved the compact size of a small SUV but as the boys are rapidly growing we quickly realized that we needed something larger. We wanted something that would seat the five of us comfortably, could haul all of our gear, and take us to remote places. We have been searching for the perfect vehicle for a while and we finally found it. We purchased a used 2019 RAM rebel! Meet Phantom!

About the Truck

Engine: 5.7-liter V-8, producing 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.

Configuration: Crew Cab with 5’7″ bed.

Off road chops: 1″ lift, 3.92 axle ratio, rear locking differential, 33″ tires, skid plates, Bilstein monotone dampers with piggybacks in the rear, hill decent control, and massive 16.5″ brake rotors.

Build Plans

We are building a capable overloading machine. The plan is to add a small lift, custom bed cover with drawer system, awning, shower, winch, 35″ tires, and probable more. We are excited to build a rig that can take us far into the wilderness. Stay tuned for updates on this build!
